Sarah Taylor at M&S Head Office
In 2001 we presented recent works by emerging artist Sarah Taylor from her ‘Lace Series’ for the senior managers’ dining suite at Marks & Spencer’s head office on Baker Street.
Over a period of over 10 years, we curated a series of exhibitions as part of an annual exhibition programme at Marks & Spencer’s headquarters in Baker Street that aimed to drive debate and discussion within the office context and expand the employees’ perspectives.
We showcased the work of emerging and mid-career artists working in a diverse range of media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, drawing, ceramics, glass and textiles to give an overview of the contemporary arts and crafts scene in the UK. Some 1,300 artists were exhibited over 90 exhibitions between 1993-2004.
