Marks & Spencer

Exhibition Programme, 1994 - 2004

Over the period of 10 years, HS Projects curated a series of exhibitions as part of an annual exhibition programme at Marks & Spencer’s headquarters in Baker Street. A perse range of media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, drawing, ceramics, glass and textiles gave an insight into contemporary arts and crafts in the UK with some 1,300 artists exhibited.

We curated a number of site specific commissions including Zatorski & Zatorski’s I Miss You; Cullinan Richards’ installation M&S which was subsequently exhibited in Schnitt Austellungsraum, Cologne and Century City, Tate Modern; Gordon Cheung; Nikolai S. B. Larsen’s Form; Dominic Lewis; Jenny Chong’s text piece; Emily Watson and Rowena Dring.

We also showcased work by recent graduates from the Royal College of Art, Royal Academy Schools, Central St Martins, Slade, Chelsea, Camberwell and Middlesex University, Kent Institute of Art & Design, Brighton University and Northern Graduates.
