After Cheltenham College, he studied Business (BA Oxford Brookes University) and a number of part-time art courses. He is currently co-founding director of HS Projects.
Previously he was co-founding director at Howick Contemporary Art (1994-2000) which aimed to fill a gap in providing high quality art consultancy services for corporations and developers. During this time he curated annual exhibition programmes for clients such as Marks & Spencer and Cable & Wireless and showcased the work of emerging artists including Nicolai Bendix Skylum Larsen, Alan Brooks, Carey Young, Charlotte Cullinan + Jeanine Richards (ArtLab), Zatorski + Zatorski, Magali Fowler and Jenny Chong. He also curated and project managed a number of prestigious public art commissions, such as for the BAA Art Programme and the River & Rowing Museum.
He has been a trustee director at Florence Trust Studios since 2000 and has helped raise the profile of the studio attracting exciting artists with an international outlook.
